Okay as a Makeup Junkie, I have to admit I have bought into the hype of many of products. A lot have dissapointed me but there are some that have made me the literal heart-eye emoji. Here are my top makeup items I have to have and some product faves!
1) Foundation - I can not live life without foundation. I don't "Hate" my skin but I'm not in love with it either. I have to admit that those acne scars are still a problem that i have to deal with today. But its not just about covering up acne scars, foundation is just fun to apply. That might sound weird but I absolutely love applying foundation, the act alone is fun! My favorite foundation is the L'Oréal Pro Matte foundation. I have to mix the two darkest shades for my shade but for my oily skin girls, this foundation is amazing!
2) Liquid Lipstick - I'm addicted to this stuff, it's a serious problem. I had to stop buying them because it was getting to a ridiculous point. If you want a long-lasting lipstick and haven't tried this type of lipstick yet. Then what are you waiting for? they are drying on the lips but they last for a long time! My favorite brand would be the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks. They are super creamy and look amazing on the lips. I need to try the Kylie lipsticks, but not before I use up some of the lipsticks I already have.
My 20's have been a rollercoaster of emotions and life events that have changed me tremendously. Growing up I pictured my 20s to be this great time in my life, where I would be having fun, graduating college, and just living the good life. IT HAS NOT BEEN THAT WAY. That sounds depressing and discouraging, and to be honest it has been. But something happened this year that made me realize that this is how it is for almost all of my generation. No matter how many happy/ perfect life pictures people post on Facebook or Instagram, I can promise you everyone is struggling with something. Because that is life, that's just how the cookie crumbles. We all get a deck of cards handed to us and how we play those cards is exactly up to us. This year has been me, getting my life together, figuring out what I actually want, how to better myself, how to better life for myself. If you are struggling with where you are in life, I highly suggest that you have that moment with yourself, where you are brutally honest and go over what you actually want out of life. Once you figure that out, break down your goal into mini bite size pieces that you can take to get to that goal. And work your butt off for those goals! You have to put in that WORK! Honestly, that's what i've been doing, putting in that work. I'm back in school, working towards a degree and that takes a lot of time. I've been praying about my future, asking god, to show me what he wants for and from me. While getting a degree is something that I want to achieve, blogging is something that I feel is for me. It makes me happy typing these words, getting my opinions out into the world. So I'm trying this again. I can't promise you that I will blog consistently, I'm still trying to balance everything and get a good schedule going. I'm doing this because I want to connect with people, I want to type out the thoughts in my head, I want to have a little corner of the world people can go to that gives them escapes from their own problems. Because god knows how many times I have had to have something like that and youtube and bloggers have definitely given that to me. But honestly, helping people is what I want to do, what I was created to do. So here I am, here are my thoughts. I'm back in action, trying to figure it all out.
The answer that I've heard mostly was the negative. Many people think that the update was pointless and not very necessary. To me, there are some things that I really like, like notifications and the new keyboard sounds haha. But the new messaging stuff is very unnecessary and I can only see teens using those new features. I also like how the screen will awake if you lift it towards your face. I will say that it seems like apple is moving towards the Samsung system, because it does look a little similar. I'm not very well versed on Samsung software but from what I do know it does look similar. Overall, I do like the new update even though there are some things that are pretty useless in my opinion. Tell me what you think in the comments below!
P.S. this week had a bunch of tech posts, expect these type of posts whenever Apple releases new products. Posts should go back to normal next week! Check out my last apple post here
Something that I'm realizing is how to just make things happen. There are moments whether short or long when you just don't feel like doing things and being productive. That has been my problem for as long as I can remember, some can be blamed on laziness other moments can be blamed on outside things that I can't help. Since the beginning of the year i've challenged myself to just ignore whatever was holding me back and just going full force into whatever I wanted to do. There have been moments when I failed or when I needed to take breaks but as a whole I've done a pretty good job at being more consistent. This post is really for anyone like me who has a goal and can't keep with it. There are no short cuts, no secrets just work hard! Work consistently, it might take years to get to where you want to go but keep fighting it for it. We have dreams and goals for a reason and I truly believe the more you work for something the more it will work out in your favor.
I will go over some of the key features that are on the new iPhone. First of all, and the most obvious change is the new jet black version. Now before you go running to get this new version, just know that fingerprints will be very noticeable on this version, just a heads up. Next is the headphones, there is no headphones jack and people have been freaking out about it. The airpods in my opinion are good in theory but the fact that they will probably be lost and are $159.00, just not worth it. Honestly you could buy any other pair of wireless headphones and it should be okay, so the loss of the headphone jack shouldn't be that big of a deal. The new iPhone is water resistant, which is always a plus, you won't have to worry about getting water on it as much as you did before.
Overall, should you upgrade? the question I always ask myself every time apple has a new release. This year, I would recommend you wait. Unless your phone is broken, the battery is horrible, or you just really want this version then I would hold on. If the rumors that i've heard are true then next year's release will be better than this years. But it's up to you, Apple's releases have been underwhelming in the past years and being an apple junkie that hurts my heart to say this haha. The release this year has been better than the past ones, so it's looking up for Apple. Let me know if you are getting the new iPhone in my comments! You can check out my old iPhone rumors post here.
So I found something new, it's bullet journaling. I bought an Erin Condren Life Planner at the beginning of the year, you can check out my post about it here. I stand beside everything I said, but I think I found something that works better for me, or something I enjoy more. I was in a youtube fest, just watching random videos and somehow stumbled upon a bullet journaling video. I fell in love with the concept. It's a very creative way to organize your life and thoughts and keep records of things. It's really simple to get started all you need is a notebook and a pen and you are good to go! I'm going to link some of my favorite videos i've found of bullet journaling so you can learn more about it if you are interested. And here is the link to the founders website, where you can also find out information on bullet journaling.
I get these random urges to bake from time to time and so one weekend I chose to make a chocolate peanut butter trifle. I love anything with chocolate in it, and add peanut butter in the mix and that's an amazing combo. One of the first things I ever made was a death by chocolate dessert which was just cool whip, chocolate mousse and brownies. Most trifles call that you use pudding, but I absolutely hate pudding so I substitute the mousse for the pudding. The recipe I used for this desert called for pudding as well, so again I substituted it for chocolate mousse. The recipe was a little hard to follow, When i was making the whip cream I added the powdered sugar in there, when it was supposed to go in the peanut butter and cream cheese. I would suggest using half a cup of powdered sugar in the whip cream and not a whole cup, unless you want really sweet whip cream. Other than that the recipe was really great! Here is a link to the recipe if you would like to make it yourself!
Every year Apple excites the world with new iPhones, and this year even though it hasn't been announced the world is expecting the release of the iPhone 7. I am one of the biggest Apple fans ever, but I won't lie the past releases of iPhones just don't excite me as much as it used to in the past. Now it's time for the iPhone 7 release and again, it's not an exciting release for me. In all honesty this might be the most unexciting release ever, probably only a little bit better than the 4c's. Here are the big features that are allegedly going to be on the iPhone 7.
No Headphone Jack - that's right, there will be no headphone jack on the iPhone. So get ready to buy wireless headphones from now on. I get how that can be exciting for some, but for me its meh...there was no wow factor. Even though working out should be easier now that I won't have to worry about a wire.
Pressure sensitive home button - that's the new feature that I read about, instead of clicking like iPhone home buttons do now, there will be a vibration to tell you how much pressure you are forcing on the home button. That seems like a cool function to me.
Two camera lenses - there are going to be two camera lenses on the new iPhone. Both lenses will capture colors differently and then merge the two photos into one. Seems like a good way to get better photos but from the mock ups of what the new iPhone is going to look like, The lenses don't look visually appealing.
What i'm hearing about the new iPhone is very underwhelming. If you need a new iPhone of course I suggest that you go ahead and get it. But other than that, if you don't absolutely need one, I suggest you hold off till next year. Hopefully apple will get it right then :/
I have so many journey's I'm going on this year and here is another journey i'm starting and that's fitness. *Spoiler alert* I have already failed, but I'm restarting it again. I have many reasons why I'm doing this fitness journey but the main one is for my health. I've been feeling very fatigued lately and I definitely need to do something about it. I haven't had any real fitness goals yet. I was going to the gym three days out of the week, I think i'm going to up it to four days one week and the next week three days. I need to find other things to do to keep me motivated. Recently, i've slacked tremendously by not meal prepping and not going to the gym at all. So I need to find things to keep me excited to workout. What are some things you do to keep yourself motivated for working out?
Milo has been walking around with a hurt knee for about a week now :(, after multiple vet visits we've come to believe that maybe his knee is popping in and out of it's socket. He's now 1 year and 2 months old and he's a really playful cat. He loves to jump around and i'm thinking that's how he hurt his knee in the first place. Other than that he's just as cute as always, and he's a little extra cuddly now that he's not feeling too well. He loves to eat, and play with his doll, I call her mabel and she is seriously his best friend. He still loves biting me, just not as much as he used to..ugh.. Other than that I love my little kitty and I hope he gets better soon! Here is the last milo update if you want to check out other posts about him.
It was time for me to go get my annual eye checkup and because I lost my old glasses so I had to get another pair. If you are anything like me, you lose your frames all the time, but I can't afford to lose these bad boys. I decided to invest in a good pair of glasses, the last time I bought frames, I got them online from an online brand and they were cheaper but I didn't like how it was hard to clean the lenses. in fact I couldn't clean the lenses at all, it just moved the smudges around the lenses and never were clear.
So I bought my glasses from Garrett Leight, it's a California brand so I of course me living under a rock I had never heard of them before. I found them through Kendall Jenner, I will never forget seeing some pictures of her in the glasses and I instantly feeling like I needed them. Kendall Jenner is definitely fashion inspiration for me. I was obsessed with the style and everything so I ended up getting them. You can find them here! Tell me what eyeglass/sunglass frames are your favorite!
I am obsessed with this Pokémon go game. Okay maybe not obsessed, because i'm not actually walking around for long distances catching Pokémon. But let me tell you, Pokémon go is really worth the hype. I used to play Pokémon on my Gameboy advanced when I was younger, and so everything came full circle when Pokémon was available on the iPhone. So far i'm on level 3 and I have 8 Pokémon. I know that's not that good, but i'm slowly but surely improving haha. I've caught a lot more but I transfer the pokémon I already have to get more candies. Are you guys playing pokémon? let me know in the comments!
I had never been that interested in the Too Faced brand, nothing they made really stood out to me. That was until the Born This Way foundation came out. Everyone was raving about the foundation, and knowing me I had to get it. I'm a huge foundation junkie. So after seeing such great reviews I had to check it out for myself!
I have oily skin, and the thing I hadn't checked out was if the foundation was good for oily skin. The foundation is oil free, but it's not a matte finish. So if you have oily skin then I would highly suggest a setting powder. I do have to blot at least a couple of times through out the day so if that's something that annoys you then you might want to steer-clear of this foundation. The finish is very natural, but i covers my dark marks and discoloration. And honestly that's all I can ask for in a foundation. Even though it doesn't cater to oily skin, the finish alone is the reason why I would repurchase it. It's lightweight so you don't feel it on the skin and you can build it up to be full coverage. Just one other layer would make the foundation full coverage. I would rate this foundation 4/5 stars. I love the finish and how lightweight it is. The only thing I wish that would change is that it would help the oily skin sistas out! Overall I would highly suggest you pick this one up, you can check it out here.
I've been M.I.A. for awhile, and if i'm being honest a lot has been going on from my health, family member's health, deaths and events. I'm good, my family is good and it sounds like i've been THROUGH it, and I have but I'm feeling a little bit more like myself now and i'm pushing myself to get back into my regular routine.
It sucks this has to be my first post in awhile since my hiatus but I can't not talk about this. While i've been gone, i've been watching the news a lot. There is so much going on in the world, and almost every time I turn around i'm hearing about another tragedy. I'm praying for Nice, Dallas, Alton Sterling's family, and Philando Castile's family. Plus other tragedies that somehow don't make it to the news. The world needs to take action, show more acts of love and kindness. These things happen to frighten people but if you hinder your life because of these awful acts, these terrible people win.
Show love to people, that's the best thing we can do in times like these. You might think it's stupid, you might think it won't do anything, change anything. But you will be surprised, what one act of kindness will do!
I have a blog, and this blog is a place where I air out my thoughts. I like to talk about my life, beauty, technology, etc. Things that aren't very important in the grand scheme of things. Today I want to talk about other people, people that on last sunday night, just wanted to celebrate with their friends and have a good time, but instead 49 people, as I type this, have lost their lives because of hate.
I haven't stopped watching the news since it happened, not to learn about the horrible killer, but to learn about the victims, learn more about the solutions to this crime that happens again, and again, and again, and again. To know that President Obama has had to address this 15 times is a tragedy in itself. But i'm not going to talk about the politics. These people were brothers and sisters, friends, sons and daughters, etc. These are the people we should remember. They are the people that matter. As well as Christina Grimmie, who unfortunately lost her life the night before. Another precious soul, taken too soon.
There is a problem in the U.S. that needs to be addressed, if not this will happen again. I pray for the victims and their families everyday, and the ones still fighting for their lives. I 100% believe in the power of prayer, but at the same time action must be done. Today, i'm recognizing the victims, it's my birthday, i'm blessed to see another one, unfortunately 49 people won't see their next birthday. Again, my thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of all the victims. I can't imagine the pain they are going through. I urge you all to donate to the pulse gofundme account here. We need to show more love, and if you are going to do one thing today just love on people. You just might have a greater impact on a life than you could ever imagine.
Here a couple of things that i've been eyeing on my wishlist, some of these things might've been on a previous wishlist post, but that just means I really, really want it.
Chacos- chacos were a big thing down here for years, and still kinda is. I tried to avoid the whole chacos train because I try not to follow the crowd, but i love the practicality of them. and i'm all down for sandals.
Hunter rainboots - the last pair of rainboots that I had were from target, and while they were good while they lasted they eventually tore apart. So now I want to invest in some good rainboots, and i love the tall black ones.
Rayban Round sunglasses - i adore these sunglasses and wanted them for so long, theres something so cool about them, and so they made the wishlist.
May was a very busy month for me, my best friend got married, I started my fitness journey, I had a big clean out of my room. I have many favorites from this month that aren't even products. This month should be another great month because, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!! I'll be 23 on the 15th and I have some exciting things planned. Here are some of my favorite things from the month of May!
Beach!! - I hadn't been to the beach/ on a trip in FOREVER so it was so much fun to go with my closest friends and we spent a wonderful weekend at the beach. I have to go back again soon!
Too Face Born this way foundation- I will post a review about this foundation soon, but just know, I absolutely love this foundation and it's my new favorite foundation!
Apples & Peanut butter - eating healthier has been a challenge over the years for me, but my go to snack as of recently was cut up apples and peanut butter, you can get even healthier by substituting almond butter for peanut butter. But regardless this has been my favorite snack of the month
Gym - I joined a gym and I have been loving it! I usually love cardio more than lifting weights, but i've found out recently that has changed. Ive been experimenting with different exercises and changing up my routine. But overall the gym has been my #1 favorite of the month.
What have been your favorite things in the month of May? Tell me in the comments below!
So recently I went to Gulf Shores, Alabama with some of my closest friends and it was great! My friend is getting married/ by the time this is posted has already gotten married and we took a little girl trip to the beach before the big day.
I haven't been to the beach/ on vacation in years! To be honest, i'm very much a homebody so even though I was looking forward to it, part of me didn't want to leave my cat. Now if you are a young girl, around my age, you would probably prefer another beach because there wasn't much to do in Gulf Shores, but we had fun chilling on the beach and we went to Orange Beach to do fun activities.
Overall, it was a nice weekend getaway, and I can't wait to get back to the beach again!
I've feel like i've lived a lot of life and I actually haven't. Growing up I always looked forward to my twenties, I thought I was going to have an exciting life going places, trying new things etc. Don't get me wrong I definitely do those things but it wasn't the picture I had in my mind. Nobody told me that I would have extreme moments of feeling confusion, disappointment and straight up depression. Most of that I put on myself because especially a couple of years ago I definitely was comparing myself to others and my foundation was not strong at all. Those things happened, and I hear it's pretty common. But through those hard times, I started to dig deep and soul search and started to actually find myself. I'm not perfect, I don't have my life figured out and i'll definitely have to go through more hard times in my life, harder than the ones i've gone through so far. I know what will get me through those things is actually knowing my worth and my faith in god. For those of you going through it with me, or about to enter, just know that we aren't supposed to have it all figured out. We are still getting to know ourselves let alone have everything figured out. Have fun, try new things, take risks, learn about yourself, learn about life, read books the informative and fun ones, and be the best version of yourself you can be. Life is tough, but one thing you need to do is be easy on yourself, love yourself, love others and enjoy every second of life that you can!
I'll be honest, these laptops aren't my cup of tea. I would recommend them to someone who doesn't need an actual laptop but just something to surf the internet on and do light work. Here's why:
There is no USB port or memory card slot. I have no idea why they won't put at least one usb port on the computer but apple is still refusing.
No Mag - Safe charger- something that I love about Apple Computers, and this one does not have it. I love that my macbook pro has the mag safe charger. So I dont have to worry about snagging the cord or damaging my computer somehow.
No HD Camera - its kinda petty, but it needs to be said with the price tag and what other models have that this lacks
Here are just some of the things that I don't like about it. I will say if you need something for traveling, surfing the internet, and doing small tasks then this one is for you. Plus it comes in the new Rose Gold color. The actual computer is very aesthetically pleasing. But overall, I don't think it's worth it to dish out that much money for something that doesn't have basic functions. You can check it out in more detail here, and here is a video from one of my favorite apple vloggers that gives you more info. What are your opinions?
*sorry i've been M.I.A. I've been on a little vacation but i'm now back to normal programming*
So I had heard about this book a long, long, time ago by one of my friends and never checked into it for myself. Recently, I decided to give it a try and I DID NOT REGRET IT! It's set in California in 1850. The main character is Angel and she is a prostitute, that has gone through horrible situations in her life. She meets a man, named Michael and he's convicted to show her a better life than the one she's used to. The story Redeeming Love goes through their ups and downs, and if Michael ever truly gets the girl...
This story is fantastic, it has a christian theme throughout the book, but even people who aren't christian would enjoy the plot. This book reminds me of how we are supposed to love others unconditionally. I found myself getting emotionally attached to book, more so out of anger than any other emotion. But nonetheless I was still emotionally attached haha. This is a fun and easy read and I suggest everyone read it!
A reading challenge for myself is to find a book that will make me cry, that has not happened yet and I feel like I'm getting cheated out of a great reading experience lol. Shameless promo, I have a goodreads account, where you can see what book i'm currently reading and how far i've gotten into it, plus I rate the books I read there too.
That joke only comes once a year so I have to milk it as much as I can for one day. But another month has passed, and time to hit you up with a few things that I have loved this month.
Chocolate covered pretzel cookie butter sandwiches- that is such a long name for the most delicious snack on earth. I make them myself, i dipped the pretzels in chocolate and put cookie butter in between them. and make a sandwich out of it. It's so delicious, you should definitely try it out. It's probably not the healthiest snack but it's a great pick me up, if you are having a bad day.
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers - I read this book this month and it's a great book! I will have a book review up soon, but overall I will say this book is Fantastic!
Pinterest! - Pinterest has been a lifesaver for me this month, one of my best friends is getting married this month so from planning parties to buying gifts, Pinterest has been my catalogue for wedding things!
VIEWS FROM THE 6 - Its only been out for a little over 24 hours but I already know it's going to be AMAZING! I'm the BIGGEST drake fan ever, I love him so much lol. So even though i'll be on my way to the beach for the weekend, I know i'll be playing this album over and over and over and you should definitely go buy it!
I love learning about myself and life in general, and something i've come to realize about myself is that my surroundings REALLY do affect my life. It's something that i've always heard about, like show me your friends and i'll show you your future..etc. But it goes even further, my surroundings include people's attitudes, how organized things are around me, the weather, what I see on TV, what I read. Like anything little thing can affect my attitude. I'm pretty sure i've stated before how I fully believe in positive thinking and keeping your mind on your goals and what you want. But i've also realized how things around me can make it harder to keep my mind on good things. Now, how this will make my life better? I have no idea, probably just getting rid of all the negative things in my life that I possibly can. This is such a cliche topic, but Shay Carl said it best...Cliche's are cliche's for a reason!
I love face masks! they are my go- to thing to do for pamper nights. I had heard great things about the Boscia Peel Off Face mask and I had to try it out for myself.
First thing I noticed right off the bat is that it's expensive. I don't spend a lot of money on face masks and these are probably the most expensive face masks that i've ever purchased. Another thing that makes it more expensive is that you have to use a good amount of the mask at once just so that it'll be easier to peel.
It's painful, it reminds me of the black head strips that you can buy, but it's one big one for your face. I notice that the more I use the mask the less painful it became. The mask also irritates my eye when I apply the mask. One thing I notice is that afterwards my skin feels so soft and clean, especially with the black mask. The white one not so much, I bought that one because I heard its great for brightening, and evening skin tones but to be honest, I won't be repurchasing that mask. It leaves my skin feeling clammy and gross, if you have dry skin you might enjoy this mask more than I did, but if you have oily skin I would suggest avoiding this mask. However, I really do like the black mask and it works wonders. My skin feels very fresh and clean after I use the mask. What are your favorite masks to use?
Something that I think we all should take great care of is the earth! It's something that I can admit I don't think about that often, but I definitely think we all should. This doesn't only affect us, but our children and all of our generations to come. So things that I do to be green is drink from a reusable water bottle, so that I don't use plastic water bottles that just go to junkyards. I recycle, that's something that my dad stressed very much growing up and we did religiously. What else can I and others do to be more green? let me know in the comments!
Something that I'm dealing with myself is negativity. I whole-heartily believe that your thoughts and actions shape what happens to you and life. I also believe that you catch more bees with honey. So why is it that for so many people, like myself, that believe these things, it can be challenging to always keep your mind, words and actions positive. Here are some tips that I do to change my mindset from negative nancy to positive polly lol.
Go outside - this is the #1 thing that instantly puts me in a better mood. But weirdly it the thing I do the least. Getting fresh air is the best thing for me, and a good view never hurt anyone.
Reading/ listening to music - Sometimes I need an escape. Listening to music and blasting it is what I usually do, but right now i'm getting more and more into reading. Right now i'm reading Redeeming love by Francine Rivers and it's so great! Expect a review later
Talking to Friends/ Family - It's so important to have good people around you that you can talk to, We weren't designed to go through life alone, so I absolutely have some people I can go to and vent to from time to time, when needed.
Well i'm definitely someone who needs to be more focused on being organized. For me it's more in a physical standpoint than mental. The problem is at the end of the day i'm so tired I tend to just throw things down and forget about it. So i'm challenging myself to be more organized and put together no matter how tired I am. I, like most other people love when my space is clean and organized, it makes me feel so much better. My thoughts are clearer and I just feel so fresh and in order. It's time for me to start my spring cleaning, and i'm so excited for all of it!
So here is an updated wishlist of the things that i'm wanting! tell me yours in the comments below!
Apple Watch - I was one of those people who thought the apple watch was so pointless when it came out. But in typical Apple fangirl fashion, I eventually changed my mind, and now all I want is an apple watch
RayBan Red Mirrored Sunglasses - These might've been the trend last year and out of style now, but I seriously want these sunglasses. They are so much fun, and would be fun for spring and summer.
NIV leather bound Bible - The only Leather bound bible I have is the KJV that I got when I was 13 and while it's very special to me, and i'll have with me for the rest of my life, I would love to get the NIV. It would be nice to have a good, sturdy bible that is easier to understand. I have a paperback ESV study bible, but it's just not the same.
So I randomly viewed a video of someone trying Baby Foot foot peel. Why? I have no idea, I didn't have any clue that a product like that even existed. But I was intrigued, and because i'm a product junkie I had to try it out. When I have my pamper nights, I've never focused on my feet, so this seemed like a fun thing to do, even though I was a little scared not going to lie. Peels can be intimidating.
So I used the peel, put on my socks over the bags for my feet and waited for an hour. I did walk around, and figured out you are NOT supposed to do that. Regardless I started noticing results about a week after I used the peel and it took about 4 days for most of the peeling to stop. Regardless, i'm on Day 6 and I still have some peeling going on, hopefully it'll be done completely in a couple of days.
Overall I like it, the peeling was fun, and I did peel the skin off myself, It's hard not to. I didn't experience any soreness or anything like that. I enjoyed it, and I probably would repurchase it again. Have you tried Baby Foot? Tell me about it in the comments.
Spring time is here!!! It's a bittersweet moment because while I love springtime, I hate my allergies :( I get the worst ones, well really I only have two symptoms Stuffy nose and headaches.. But other than that spring is great! But I digress, here are my favorites of March
Contigo Water Bottle
is it weird that a water bottle is one of my favorites?? I love this water bottle! I've tried so many of them like the camelback and bobble. but this one is so much better. First its glass and i've heard that drinking from a glass water bottles are better than the plastic ones. and i love how i can chug the water, which is weird but i don't enjoy drinking water so if I can drink it faster and get it over with than that's great! you can find the water bottle here!
I didn't put this in my favorites app post but this is one of my favorites for this month as well. I heard about 8tracks a long time ago and I never really got the hype, but it came in handy this month. I get tired of listening to the same songs over and over again on apple music so i decided to try out 8tracks to find out new music. I really liked 8tracks for how easy it is to find playlist with good music that I haven't heard before. You can choose what type of music you want to listen to and then a bunch of different playlists pop up, if you want to discover new music I highly suggest this app!
I dont have a Trader Joe's near me, but the one day I went to a city that had it, I had to buy a jar of Cookie Butter! It has the consistency of peanut butter but tastes like gingerbread cookies and it's amazing! I have to say though it is best with chocolate covered pretzels.
I've discovered a lot of old music lately, and so the songs i've had on replay were
Dont go - J Holiday
Deserve U More- Musiq Soulchild
And in true Kelsey fashion, I fell in love with a song I heard on a Homegoods Commercial
Home - Dan Croll
Also, i enjoyed Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande, and Majid Jordan's self-titled album!
Social Media is fun, but i've noticed something...People take it way too far sometimes.
This is a random post but something that's been on my mind for awhile. Social Media, has now become a place where people voice their opinions loud and proud. I'm not saying that it's a problem because everyone has a right to do whatever they want to do with their platforms, but my mind starts to wonder about people and their mindsets. Why they feel the need to be so critical about people they know nothing about and say the meanest and cruelest things. What does it do for them? What kind of satisfaction do they get by saying such horrible things, knowing while at the end of the day it does nothing for them, does not further them or make them into a better person. Yeah, you might gain followers, because it seems like negativity connects most people nowadays. Seeing these people, makes me sad for them honestly. I can't imagine what their life was/is like, to make them spew out such anger and negativity on people they don't know. Whether it be celebrities or youtubers or some one random. Again let me state, i'm not saying it's wrong to criticize or speak up if you think something is wrong, because lets be honest social media is never that serious and I will definitely speak up about whatever I want, but to me if 90% of your account is about nonsense or you spreading nasty stuff about other people, then I definitely encourage you to do some soul-searching. I'm a huge believer in the fact that what you put out in the world is what you are going to get back. Hurting others, or saying hurtful things does more to yourself than it does to the other person. Im sure the people reading this post are ones that don't create or spread madness or pointless hate, but this is just a thought i'm sending out to the universe, so maybe it will hit someone somewhere.Do you agree with me? Tell me about it NICELY in the comments haha!
I'm addicted to my cellphone and iPad, whether that's a good thing or not(it's not. I'm always on my phone, especially when I have free time on my hands. Being an techie I love playing with technology and learning new things about it, so today I'm telling you my Favorite apps for the iPhone/ iPad. Even though most, if not all of these apps can be found on android devices as well!
News app - this app actually comes on the iPhone now, and it's a way to keep up with what's going on in the world. I won't lie I don't actually watch the news or read the newspaper as much as I should, but the great thing about the news app is that you can customize it to show the topics you want to read about, from celebrity gossip to the elections.
Afterlight/ VSCO - these are two photo editing apps, if you want to know how to make your photos 10x better on instagram than get one or both of these apps! These are very popular apps and deserve all the hype!
Hay Day - i've been obsessed with this game for so long now! I never caught on to the FarmVille hype on Facebook years ago, but I get it now. Hay Day is a farming game that is so addicting and if you like games like FarmVille, check out Hay Day!
Piano Tiles 2 - possibly the most frustrating game i've ever played but also most addicting. I heard about this game through ijustine. It reminds me of Tap Tap Revenge, who remembers that game??? I'm stuck at the song Tritsch Trastsch Polka right now, and if I don't beat it soon, i might throw my phone at a wall :(
Buzzfeed- I love this app for one thing, and one thing only and thats the quizzes. Buzzfeed quizzes are so pointless but entertaining. It's a great thing to do in times of boredom
Social Media - How can I do a post about apps without talking about social media and where to find me on them? haha. Of course i'm on twitter, follow me here! and Instagram, follow me here! Tumblr and Goodreads. All of these places is where you can find me and learn extra stuff about me that you don't have to know but you know you want to ;)
What are your favorite apps? Let me know in the comments! I love hearing from you guys!
